I want to do a marketing test for an over the counter supplement. I will create an eCommerce website to see if anyone clicks the buy button, 4-hour workweek style.

I have spoken to a few very conservative lawyers who said the legalities of doing such a thing would be impossible.

Any recommendations on how I can do a quick and legal test for my product?

don't take credit card numbers. It cannot be illegal for you to have a product on "back order"..... how would anyone know?

you yourself would know, thats who, and you can either feel bad about being *slightly* deceptive, or, feel great about following a process that will allow you to make the right decision to either invest or divest.

As long as your link points to a page that says you cannot take orders for some reason or another, I don't understand how it is a problem. Especially if you give them the opportunity to give you their info for when product is available. Now, if you have no product to sell period or couldn't fulfill in a timely fashion, I consider that deceptive. In that case, find a product first.
