Hi all, just read the book, new to the forums. Already found tons of useful information in the threads.

I am in the brainstorming phase of muse creation. My semi-narrowed down niche is paintball. I chose paintball because I'm passionate, knowledgable, and there doesn't seem to be as much competition in sales as there should be with the amount of people spending money on the sport.

The competition in this market is mostly large online stores carrying tons of products. There are 2 ebooks on strategy that seem to be worthwhile.

The problem is that I am overwhelmed with trying to narrow down a profitable product. I already am an affiliate for one of the large stores that I promote on my team website, but I know there is a more specific niche within paintball out there.

Can the forum guide my thinking process? Give me a path of questions to consider when brainstorming? I've implemented the process from the book but get lost when trying to apply it specifically to Pball.

Thanks.

Maybe a store that specializes in only a certain aspect of paintball? Like selling just high quality CO2, balls, etc

Or an ebook explaining how to get into pro paintball?

This may be a little off track. But did you know that there are colleges that give paintball scholarships? Really. I wish I could remember the college.

I've had two ideas so far don't know how to gauge them:

1. Unique Headbands. This is the one accessory not dominated by big brand names. Its considered cool in the community to have a flashy headband. In some of the instructional videos from Dynasty (a big pro team) the players wear weird bands like a Ed Hardy design and "cash money". I can't find these anywhere online. Sandanas are also popular.

2. An E-book on how to create, manage, train, and get sponsorships for a team. I'm not convinced about how successful Ebooks are though....

Neither of these would fit in the $50-200 price range which stinks because the average amount of $ spent in the big stores is $270/order.

If you make the ebook, you could also provide a video with interviews of famous paintballers or something...that might raise the price to $50
