I'm probably not supposed to use the boards like this, but you all have been very helpful in the past and I don't expect you'll stop being that way any time soon.

Short of it: I need one or two testers to download 90 Day Pianist for me tonight to make sure that the process is automated and the customer has a relatively smooth time downloading.

What you need to do: Let me know in this thread or PM me that you want to test, and I'll PM you with the link and discount code for 90 Day Pianist for you to test. Then you can fill out an order and download 90 Day Pianist.

What it will cost you: One penny on your credit card - I want to make sure the credit card processing works and that your penny ends up in my paypal. I get to keep the penny!

What you'll get: An eBook that will soon cost 90 bucks for a penny. If you want to learn the piano, this is awesome for you. If not, hey, it's only a penny.

After this, there aren't many more steps for my full blown re-launch. I appreciate any help!

VitaminD - I would really LOVE if you could either answer here, or preferably, start a NEW threat to outline the following.

1) What did you use to create your website
2) What did you use to create your ebook
3) How are you handling automatic downloads so that customers can't rip you off by finding a secret link somewhere or doing URL manipulation of some kind?

Reason I ask is that I would soon like to launch my next product, and it will initially be a CD set (2 CDs with a particular lesson useful to my very LARGE potential customer base). But I'd rather totally automate it by offering an MP3 file with no DRM. I know customers hate DRM. (For those unfamiliar, DRM = copy protection for audio files)

Here are the master kung fu links of destiny I used:

1). I edited it via Notepad. I found the template online.
2). createpdf.adobe.com - I had it saved as a Word doc and you can convert into a PDF (protected I think too) for free
3). e-Junkie.com - five bucks a month, but I don't think they take any transaction fee. They let you sell info products and you just upload your file. Hopefully they do audio files too.

 <--- me.
