I have been working diligently on my muse over the last couple of weeks and am looking for feedback. A little background, I spent 20 years of my career working in the Top 5 credit card companies and am building a site to share my knowledge of the credit card industry.

Please let me know what you think. I am open to all feedback.

Thanks!

My first post! Anyway, I hate the obtrusive on-site pop-up that comes up when I scroll. I leave a site 98% of the time I'm confronted with this. Another suggestion, resize the title. It looks squashed and tacky. I'm not ready to read actual content. Hope this helps....

No offense, but your website is pretty much just a fancy business card for explaining your services. A muse is supposed to take YOU out of the equation. It needs to be self sufficient. It seems your product IS you, at least you giving seminars and consulting services. That is basically a ball and chain type of business model, it can't function without you.

Your squidoo.com page is more of a true muse. Insidebankcards.com should be more of that. You should take the chance to elaborate more on different discussion topics, and use those topics to sell affiliate services and products that it seems like you already have a few. With your knowledge it seems you could put together an Ebook pretty quickly just out of your seminar notes, or even a Credit Tool Kit with audio and video cds, a follow along workbook, charts, budget forms, excel spreadsheet, etc. In the tool kit also sell them on coming back to your site to research more in your "discussion topics" where they will hopefully then buy the affiliate products and services you discuss. An introductory free ebook may be a better incentive to get people to sign up on your website instead of just a newsletter as well. In the introductory free ebook just discuss case stories of people that you've helped, and make them very emotional, and keep pluging the Credit Tool Kit that you sell.

Also, I would get rid of the google ads and other automatically generated ads. It looks unprofessional and the some of the things don't even relate to your product. If you really are an expert that cares about someone's credit you should thoroughly research and fully endorse any and every product or service on your website. People will then trust your opinion more and continue using the products and services you endorse. You could offer the "Inside Bank Card" seal of approval.

the page itself looks clean and professional
your exact services and costs didnt jump out at me. You are booking seats for your seminar right? maybe you can sum it up in a one phrase and push that a little more.
"Lower your rates and live more"
"Learn to make your credit work for you"
"Pay less, do more"
etc etc etc tune ur phrases to explain the (potential) results of your teaching.
maybe use examples of what you are currently doing with ur own credit (without giving away the process) to get ppl interested

hope this helps a little
