One of the two muses I'm working on is a fairly simple electronic device. I'm not an electronic engineer nor I know anything about building chips, however I understand very well the audience I will be selling the device to.

I have a few thousand dollars start up capital for this muse and need to find a manufacturer or assembler.

I'm looking for a quite reliable and cost / time effective company or approach to make electronic devices that doesn't require me to order a huge number of devices I won't be able to afford to start.

Thanks!

I bet this is a pretty hard question.

I have been researching on google. There are plenty of companies that do electronics manufacturing / assembly in China, US and Mexico but it's hard to tell who I should trust.

i did work in the manufacturing field, but did a career switch several years ago. have you tested the concept yet? tim suggested to look in the Scotts manufacturers directory. i suggest that for your first run of product try to get something close by so that you can see the work, the facility, and the workers for yourself. ask for referrals from that facility first so that you can check with those companies and see if they are satisfied with price, quality, lead time, etc.
