I started my muse about 6 months ago selling niche baby products (can't give yah too much info!) and i found its hard to get make much profit with PPC when you don't manufacture or warehouse (we've been drop shipping).
Anyways, we optimized our site for the search engines (one of my best friends runs a SEO firm) and now after 5 months we are kicking ass with our natural rankings. Since people trust sites in the natural rankings more, and we dont get kicked when we reach our daily budget, we get a lot more traffic and sales now.
Just thought i'd share that with you guys, PPC is in most cases going to cost a lot more then SEO, unless of course you hire the wrong firm. If any one needs a good firm email doug@search-placement.com , you won't be disappointed with them.
