Hey Everyone, First post - Trying to find my muse. A friend brought something to my attention and I was wondering if I can get some feedback. Its a MLM thing but its selling a video email product - I think its the wave of the future based on what I am hearing but I was wondering if any one had any thoughts they would like to share. Here are the links he has sent me:

My niece and her boyfriend tried selling for them. I looked at the product and the first thing I thought was that they had very little to offer that I couldn't get for free with other services.

Hey voorash fast response - I agree with you in part in looking at it. They offer several services -- alot of which can come free from other places - but this company has ALL of them under one roof. I think for people that want to get organized this would be an easy product to sell because they log into one place and have all their emails, video emails, shared calendars, videos, pictures, songs, video IM, video broadcasts etc.. in one place. Not to mention its also got a social networking aspect of it similar to myspace.

I think at the very least Ill sign up for the helloworld product myself but I think i might just go ahead and sell it too.

Well I'd be very careful. Since when has a MLM scheme ever worked for the average joe who signs up for it on the internet?

Seems very scammy to me.

Since you obviously think it offers the potential user a benefit, why not just sign up and see how well you do with it.

However, anything that labels themselves "quick cash" doesn't pass my smell test. But that's just me.

When I wanted to try out some MLM's people advised against them. I didn't want to pass up on an opportunity so I tried a few, failed and tried some more and failed again, then I learned not to try anymore MLM's. When I see an MLM now I run like George Costanza in a fire. But at least I don't have that doubt anymore.

Seems like the only way to get rid of that doubt for you is to try a few MLM's. I did pick up some knowledge here and there so there is some benefit.

The bottom line is:

IF YOU HAVE TO PAY TO BE AN AFFILIATE, IT'S PROBABLY NOT A GOOD IDEA.

They are making the money off of you, not just the sales.

Most all legitimate affiliate programs are free to join and based solely on sales.

dsa.org lists legit MLMs. If it's not on this watchdog list, I wouldn't run after it.

It does sound a little fishy. It's under the microscope.
