I've come up with a muse idea and am playing with names so I can get a domain and website started. The idea is a website aimed at female solopreneurs. It will be a place for them to find resources, encouragement and connection with other female solo professionals. I'll eventually sell information products from there.

I'm brainstorming names for the site and domain and some of the possibilities include "girl" in the title. They have a nice sound, more so than woman. For me personally, as a woman, I have no problem with "girl". I think it can sound both young and sophisticated. But I'm aware of the negative connotations, especially for women in the business world. Being called girl can be condescending, disrespectful etc. I want to attract smart, savvy, sophisticated and feminine women soloprenuers.

So, I'd love your feedback -from both the guys and the girls ;).

I don't think you should use "girl" in the title... simply because you're not targeting girls. You're targeting women. Another consideration is that if you take a page from the pros, you'll see they rarely use their target audience in the name of their product: iVillage, Oxygen Network, Lifetime Network, etc, etc. Maybe avoid your dilemma altogether by going with a catchy name that would appeal to your target.

What about "gal" or "lady" ?
Maybe even try something risque like www.skirtrepreneur.com (this domain is available)
