Has anyone used "Site Build It!" to get there muse up and running? This service is supposed to help you go from brainstorming ideas and putting together keyword lists to designing and getting a site up and running to helping you find the best ways to monitize your site. You sign up for a year at a time for a monthly fee and they basically give you all the tools and guidance you need. It sounds like a great idea for those of us who have no technical expertise or business experience.

Just wanted to know if any of you have tried it and have any opinions about its pros/cons and value for the money. And if it got you up and running and successful.

Thanks!

Is it value for money? I can't say if it is any good for $299 but I hear good things about wordpress from other posters which is free. I've built two sites in the last week using drupal which is also free... I think open source is so well developed i'm not prepaired to pay...

Took a second look at their site, I don't trust it...

Took a third look. Yuk!

I haven't used this myself but I have been to the site, read the blurb and it's on my list of possible routes to take.

The package does look it has a useful set of tools, especially for beginners. However, it looks especially useful for people whose muses are information-based (e.g. "How To..."'s or ebooks etc).

The thing is, I'd try and get some proper testimonials and references before I'd lay out that kind of money. And I'd make sure I'd researched the market for my idea really well beforehand to ensure there was a demand for the info' I would be providing.

Also, while this appears to be an easier way of doing things I agree with Sven - with a little time and research you could do it all yourself. You'd learn more that way too!

Anyone else have better info? Anyone actually used it/tried it out?

Hmm...It DOES appear to be a little to good to be true...

Since Steve Pavlini posted it on his website it seems to be getting a lot of attention.

I have a feeling that its geared towards people who are more or less lost using the internet and don't know how to build traffic for their website. You could learn all of that by asking questions here and using google. The benefit is that they synthesise the info into bitesize, easily digestible chunks (this is true of most info products).

I had a client using it and her site was one of the ugliest and most unprofessional I have ever seen it. She was very defensive about it because she had made it herself. I guess to some people ugly doesn't matter but I would NOT recommend this tool t o anyone looking to build a professional, credible looking site.

Site Build It is Internet Marketing Made Easy for Beginners. From Site Creation to Keyword Research and SEO tactics. It’s all there. It is especially great for “niche of niche” websites.

I have not made any money with SBI as an affiliate or a website owner of theirs. I have made money with my IM Products though. For example I just launched 900articlepack.com today and already got a sale. I learned how to do this and more (everything that actually makes me money) from one source. It costs zero dollars and is bar none the best information and advice you can get… it’s called the Warrior Forum.

I would hang out there and absorb a little bit more before I spend 300 on SBI. You may have a change of heart. Maybe not. Just my 2 cents.

PS: Again checkout http://www.warriorforum.com/. feel free to PM (private message) me when you get there. I’d be glad to talk to you more about my experiences with SBI and Muse Creation. My Screen Name is ideefixe541, same goes for my AIM account.

Best of Luck,

Jake
