Random Episode 8 – 2010 Resolutions with Kevin Rose and Tim Ferriss

This new, long overdue Random episode covers our personal resolutions–personal, business, physical, and otherwise–as well as favorite recent gifts (both given and received).

The video is recorded on two cameras, including Glenn’s new experimental HD delight. Topics include:

– Chocolate
– Powerlifting
– Filtering false friends
– Funny hats
– The art of the decline
… and naked ladies.

Best to give the video 10-20 minutes to buffer before watching. It’s a big ‘un.

Please let us know in the comments what you’d like our next show topic to be! If you missed previous episodes, all of them can be found here.

  1. Great video fellas! I decided that 2010 I’m going to create solid resolutions that I’d plan out and set short achievable goals to hit. I’ll definitely be using more of the 4-hour work week strategies to do this and can’t wait to achieve my dream life this year :)

Thanks for all you do Tim,
    Chris Hughes

  2. A blow up sheep in your sanctuary Tim? ..haha.. oh on the breathalyser, I was reading this hilarious article by Tucker Max just last week that you should check out. Just Google “Tucker Max The Famous Sushi Pants Story”. Anyways, nice video guys. It was fun watching.

  3. I agree, a cribs episode would be epic. Also, I’m interested in how you guys organize your lives. Specifically, incoming requests, mail, todos, and how you fit that into the broader picture. I know there is a post on organization by Leo, but I would be curious to see visually how you guys keep the seams from exploding. It would be a visual of tools and routines that you both use to be so effective.

  4. I would love to see TIM essential traveling tips- showing what tec he takes with him, where to book flights , hostels etc.

Would love to see your cool pad, I think it be great inspriation on how to livew a nice and productive life.

All the best tim, kevin hat suits you, and glen.

  5. Haha these videos are great–the give you both more personal faces and are definitely effective with respect to developing your respective personal brands. I’d like to see an episode on each of your top ~5 “Best of the Web” whether its media, blogs, web apps, people, etc.

  6. great post. if any of you guys need a place to stay in Argentina, let me know. i have family down there that can really show you a good time. they’re great people. thanks again for the post!

  7. Hat looks great! Thanks for sharing! I think it is great to find ways of keeping our New Year’s resolutions.

Dark chocolate is the best! I don’t know if it is really good for your body, but it sounds like a wonderful idea!

  8. I LOVE these vids, I feel inspired to get back to implementing my ‘life changing’ muse and projects just by watching you guys have fun.

Ideas for the next random episode:

=1) A ‘cribs’ style Random with a tour of your house
=1) Thoughts on the future of technology and civilization (i.e. The Singularity)
    2) More on accelerated learning
    3) Top places to visit

p.s. Using Vimeo is a lot smoother for video playback regardless of size/length of video, in comparison to youtube.
