How to Create a Global Phenomenon for Less Than $10,000

Here is my most recent keynote from the 2,000-person+ Le Web in Paris, which focused on how to catalyze a global phenomenon on a very limited budget. Topics include:

  • How to sell “around the product” for more coverage.
  • The three necessary types of media exposure.
  • Real-world tipping points from the launch of The 4-Hour Workweek
  • How to increase website conversion 80%.

It pulls from real case studies, including my own experience and tech start-ups I advise…

Hi Tim,

I was wondering if you could elaborate about how you use slinkset.com for marketing? Is this a tool you still use?

Thanks,

Deanna

I was wondering how you used the knowledge that Germans and Americans clicked on different tabs. It is interesting, but I am not clear on how to make it actionable.

If anyone wants to have another example of a HUGELY successful Author and inspiration, Wayne Dyer is a great example of how he created his success through “selling without selling” his content.

A brief intro for anyone that wants to know the background can be found by searching youtube for “Anthony Robbins Wayne Dyer Interview.” You want to watch/ listen to parts 1 & 2.

I can’t tell you how much this helps me man. Studying the way you talk, how you’re presenting and what you’re putting emphasis on helps me tremendously Tim.

I’ve followed your work for quite some time now, dude, because of the level of precision you demonstrate with pretty much everything you do. I’m a fanatic of.. figuring things out and you do that pretty effectively. I watch this video at least twice a week, along with a couple of other great pieces from you. Keep creating man. Looking forward to some of your screenplay stuff you’ve talked about.

I use crazyegg thanks to this video. It’s fantastic!

Also, the “1000 true fans” article was pretty good too. Thanks for those.

For a 4HWW, you are incredibly busy. I didn’t get into lifestyle design to be idle, but I am usually overwhelmed by the level of activity and the complexity of what you are doing. I wonder if anyone else feels that way, or am I too old, too lacking in tech savvy, or what.

No, I’m pretty sure the rest of the human race is right there with you man. I’m 22 and feel pretty smart and diligent compared to most of my peers, but Tim seriously shames me with all the stuff he does. It’s like he somehow very quickly digs down to the absolute truth of a matter, innovates using his knowledge of that truth, and then executes in a spectacular manner. Seriously Tim, if I could be half as awesome as you one day, I would be satisfied. You are a big hero/role model.
